Kylie Jenner would rather people lag behind on this part of her life.
A year into her relationship with Timothée Chalamet, the Kardashians star has managed to keep the romance mostly under wraps—a change from her otherwise public persona and prior relationship with Travis Scott. Still, the 27-year-old noted the less the public knows about something, the more she holds it dear.
“Privacy is so important to me in life,” she explained to British Vogue in a profile published Aug. 13, before noting her and Timothée’s option for solitude, “feels so good.”
Of course, Kylie—who shares kids Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2, with Travis—is anything but a novice when it comes to controlling her fame. After all, she became a public figure just after she hit double digits, with Keeping up with the Kardashians premiering in 2007, when she was just 10 years old.
“I learnt at such a young age how to deal with all of this in the best way for me,” she added to the publication. “So I don’t go crazy, if I am being honest.”
And Kylie’s family, including her mom Kris Jenner, echo her ability to strike a balance in her life.
“She has learnt to be emotionally available only to the people she feels really comfortable being around,” Kris detailed to British Vogue. “She protects her mental health that way. Anywhere she goes it creates a lot of brouhaha. It can be very overwhelming.”
But while Kylie did share she struggled with her self-image in her teen years—mostly thanks to social media—she doesn’t consider her sharp rise to fame as a source wholly of negativity.
“People ask me, ‘How do you deal with all this?’ I don’t remember a time before,” Kylie conceded to the magazine. “I don’t really remember a time before there were the lights and the cameras.”
Meanwhile, Timothée previously emphasized that the couple—who attended the 2024 Golden Globes together, but did not walk the red carpet—desires privacy, while understanding a certain level of publicity comes with their celebrity status.
“I can't say that this stuff doesn't matter, because my intense fandom has led me to where I am,” the Call Me By Your Name star admitted to GQ in 2023. “Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you're trying to live a private life.”

What award show?
It was only lovers in the building as the 2024 Golden Globes doubled as a TImothée-and-Kylie kiss cam. And there was nary a rumor that could puncture their blissful bubble.
...it's Kylie and Timothée. The pair arrive separately at the SNL after-party after the actor hosts the show.
The two are all smiles on their date night.
When Kylie's level of fame was brought up during Timothée's recent discussion with GQ about privacy, he responded with a laugh.
"This reminds me of that recent South Park episode with the Worldwide Privacy Tour," he said, referencing the show's parody of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. "Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you're trying to live a private life."
It was love-all at the US Open on Sept. 10.
Tennis is fine.
After packing on the PDA at Beyoncé's birthday concert in Los Angeles on Sept. 4, the pair attended a star-studded New York Fashion Week dinner together.
E! News confirmed in August that the Kardashians star and the Dune actor were still an item, despite reports claiming they’d called it quits.
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet first sparked romance rumors in April after her split from Travis Scott, with whom she shares kids Stormi, born in 2018, and Aire, born in 2022.
